Starting March 5, 2025, The W.H. Stark House welcomes visitors on Wednesdays, Fridays and select Saturdays for FREE Guided Tours. Each tour lasts about an hour and offers a chance to discover the remarkable 1894 Queen Anne home of Miriam Lutcher and William Henry Stark. Guided Tours provide small groups of up to eight guests the opportunity to experience all three floors of the 14,000 square foot, fully restored home. During the tour, guests will visit all 15 rooms in the home and explore the beautifully maintained grounds, while learning about the extraordinary family who called it home. Join us this summer for an indoor reading adventure at The W.H. Stark House! Our 2025 Summer Reading Festival will explore the world of Grimm’s Fairy Tales by the Brothers Grimm. Each participant will receive an age-appropriate book to enjoy and keep, as well as participate in fun, hands-on activities throughout the Carriage House and inside The W.H. Stark House.  Come read, imagine and create with us this summer – all in the comfort of air conditioning! Each session is identical, so please select the date that works best for your family. Admission and activities are free of charge! All sessions run from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

In this one-day workshop, participants will create two 6″x8″ illustrations inspired by the artwork of Beatrix Potter. Learn ink drawing and watercolor techniques in her classic storybook style. All materials needed for the workshop are yours to keep and are included in the $40 materials fee, including a set of watercolor paint, brushes and a micropen.
