Tiny Tin Treasures Art Contest 2025 Tiny Tin Art Contest Release Form Tiny Tin Treasures: Mini Masterpieces in a Box June 2nd – July 28th Competition Details: The Pottsboro Library is hosting a fun summer art contest, and it’s all about going small in a BIG way. Artists can submit their work for a chance to win one of two $100 cash prizes, recognition within the local art community and an installation of their art at the Pottsboro Library. Think mini masterpieces that could fit in a small tin keeping it cozy and compact. We’re looking for original artwork that shows off your creativity, even in a small space. Medium: Works of art must be contained in a metal tin. Entries must be original works created by the submitting artist. Copies or reproductions are not permitted. Artwork must be suitable for display within the library. The library reserves the right to reject any artwork that does not meet display standards or is deemed inappropriate for public viewing. Eligibility: The competition is open to artists of all ages, who reside in Pottsboro and the surrounding area. There will be one winner under the age of 17 and one winner age 17 and up. Recognition: Entries will be displayed in the library. Two artists will be recognized at the Stuff the Bus Event in August, on the library website and in social media and other library publications. Submissions: Each artist may submit one entry for consideration. Entries must be accompanied by a completed entry form, including artist information. Artists should consider that that their work will appear in public spaces and people of all ages and backgrounds will have access to view them. Deadline for submission Entries are due on July 28th 4:59 pm CST. All artwork must be turned in at the library with the appropriate entry forms. Artwork must not be deposited in the book drop box. Judging: Entries will be judged by a panel of judges based on originality, technical skill, and overall creativity. The decision of the judges is final. Winners will be notified by August 15th, 2025. Ownership: Artwork remains the property of the artist. However, by entering the competition, artists grant the Pottsboro Library permission to photograph and display their work for promotional purposes. A completed release form must accompany each submission. Works not selected by the judges will be returned to the artist by September 31st , 2025 Liability: The library is not responsible for any loss or damage to submitted artwork.
