Join us at the Fort Leaton State Historic Site to watch the Aquarids Meteor Shower. The Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve is the largest in the world and the Aquarids Meteor Shower is a great way to view celestial events in the darkest skies in Texas.Being at Fort Leaton State Historic Site in the Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve will give you the best opportunity to see celestial bodies with the naked eye. The Fort walls help shield light pollution and allow you to be in a safe place to watch the meteor showers. When:  4:00 amWhere: Fort Leaton State Historic SiteWhat: Bring your own chair or blanket, water bottle, and dress for the weather. Cost: Program is free with your purchase of day use entrance fees, $5.00 for adults, and children under 12 are free.
