Kick off 2026 with a visit to see the Devil's Sinkhole and enjoy a guided or self-guided nature walk. To join this free event, please register for the DS SNA First Day Hike 2026 online. Reservations are recommended. Gates to the Devil's Sinkhole SNA will open at 10 AM and close at 3 PM. Check the map and directions to the gate before your arrival. Upon entering the site proceed 3 miles to the parking lot. Please note the 25-mph speed limit and watch for pedestrians and other vehicles.Guests have an opportunity to see the Devil's Sinkhole, take a guided one-mile nature walk, or take a self-guided hike on an existing trail. The guided hike is low intensity, though sturdy shoes and sunscreen are recommended. Don't forget water and snacks. Drinking water is not available at this state natural area. Please check the weather forecast the day of the event and dress accordingly.
