Enjoy tea and biscuits in true Austen style while mingling with fellow admirers of her timeless novels. Then, get creative by crafting your own paper cameo silhouette bookmark--the perfect keepsake to bring a touch of Regency style home.Regency attire is encouraged for an authentic touch, but feel free to join in whatever style you prefer. Don’t miss this charming gathering celebrating one of literature's most beloved authors. This event will be ticketed due to limited space; tickets will become available at 6pm and dispensed in a "first come, first served" manner.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa visits Preschool Storytime!

For this special Ho! Ho! Ho! Storytime, we'll enjoy the puppet show "Santa Cures a Cold" and find out Santa's cold remedy during the busiest time of the year! Then, families can have their picture taken with Santa and make a cute Santa craft.

Join us in the Children's department play area for a 30 minutes storytime made especially for baby and toddlers that builds early literacy skills through activities, play, and stories. Then stay for 30 minutes of play time and socializing!

Santa will arrive by Waco Transit's Holiday Trolley in time for pictures at Family Storytime! Enjoy belly laughs at a Santa story and song! Children can have their picture taken with Santa, and families can take a joyful ride on the Holly Jolly Trolley!

Children ages 0-3 are invited to make friends, memories, and messes in this special holiday version of our monthly sensory playtime! Our library team will prepare a variety of festive sensory bins for your little one to explore while you both make friends. Babies and toddlers will have a blast learning in this Montessori style--and the best part? We will handle all the prep and cleanup so you can focus on your child. We are committed to creating a safe and comfortable space for our youngest patrons during this time, so while older siblings are allowed to attend, families with bigger kids may be asked to go to the main children's area if their play become too disruptive for our other families.
