We will be hosting our annual Halloween costume parade starting at 9:30, just after school starts.  Parents are invited to watch from the gym and we encourage all students to be on time so they can participate in the parade.  Please remember that costumes should be fun and spooky, not gory and gross.  Weapons should be left home and students should be able to go to the bathroom without assistance if they are wearing a costume.  Face paint and hair coloring is okay and masks can be worn during the parade but should be taken off during class time.  We are looking forward to a great Halloween and love to see the creative and fun costumes that students wear.  Thanks for helping us focus on the fun and spookiness of Halloween at the elementary school and not the scary part.

We’re excited to announce our Letters to Soldiers Event running from November 11 to December 1! In the past two years, our community has sent 1000 letters to active-duty military members, showcasing our support and gratitude. This year, our goal is to send 700 letters. We encourage everyone to participate by submitting their letters to the front office. Let’s come together to honor our troops! Details for writing letters:  It is not possible to write directly to or be a direct pen pal with a deployed soldier Keep words and artwork positive, encouraging, and uplifting! If it's something that makes you happy, chances are, it will make our troops happy too!  Preprinted messages are not sent to troops (i.e. cards or worksheets)  DO NOT include your email or mailing address DO NOT use your last name DO NOT mention you go to Grovecrest Elementary or live in Pleasant Grove You may mention that you are from Utah Leave messages unsealed for inspection or they won’t go

Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day

This event celebrates the brave walk that Ruby made in 1960 to desegregate schools and the freedoms that she helped instill in our schools for ALL children. Meet at the Murdock Canal Public Trailhead at 8:30 am to join in walking to school in honor of Ruby Bridges.
