Come read to Elia, a certified therapy dog! On Saturday, June 21st, from 11am-12pm, Elia will be available to listen to kids read. Every reader who signs up will have a 10 minute session to read out loud along with being able to hang out for the hour in the room and silent read. Spots to read out loud are limited, so contact [email protected] to sign up for one! This is great for beginner readers, those who struggle with reading out loud, those who need help with gaining confidence or any kiddo who needs some dog time! If you do not manage to snag a spot, you will be invited to silent read in the Children’s Room during the hour if interested!

Or, you can meet us on the green at 11:30 PM!The Bixby will provide our classic basket o’ yarn, knitting needles, and crochet hooks. Calling all readers! The Bixby Book Club meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6pm. We read a variety of books, spanning the genres of contemporary, literary, and historical fiction, as well as non-fiction, biography, and classics. Didn’t read or finish the book? No worries! This is a no-judgement book club. This meeting will be held in the library’s Community Room, if available, or the Vermont Room. Plenty of copies of books are available at the circulation desk for all who would like to read one- for those attending book club as well as those reading on their own.
