From June 17th-August 16th, kids ages pre-K to Grade 8 can participate in the Summer Reading program, Booked for Bikes! The program is generously sponsored by the Vergennes Rotary Club. This year is based on the theme Color our World! Pick up your entry forms from the Bixby to log your reading minutes. After submitting your entries at the library, you will be entered into the drawing to win the Grand Prize, a new bike! Every entry also enters you into our weekly drawings to win fun art related prizes like a children’s pottery wheel or sketchbook, and earns you a colorful bead for your tracking bracelet/necklace.

This is great for beginner readers, those who struggle with reading out loud, those who need help with gaining confidence or any kiddo who needs some dog time! Whether you’re bringing an art project, a journal, or a poem to share at the open mic, there’s space for your voice and creativity.
