Spring is a time of dramatic change! This session, we will explore things that are changing in the arboretum and document what we discover. Observation skills needed but art skills are not. You may wish to bring your own journal and art supplies. Basic materials are provided. Audience: Families, instruction will be aimed at the late elementary/early middle school years but all ages are welcome. Minors must have a responsible adult stay on site with them. The parking lot near the Education Center is frequented closed, meaning that the pavilion lot is filling more often. Parking at JMU R5 lot is another option. Allow extra time for arrival due to these two factors.

Are you interested in expanding your bird knowledge and learning how to identify birds? Then this workshop is for you! Join us in the arboretum for fun bird-related activities (learn about life stages and play a game) and ending with a bird scavenger hunt from 11AM-12PM! Open to all ages!   Presenter: Mia, President of JMU Birding Club Audience: Most appropriate for elementary-aged children but all ages are welcome. Children must have a responsible adult in attendance.
