Explore a little-known part of the park's history and tour a cabin camp built in the 1930s. Join park rangers at Cabin Camp 2 at Prince William Forest Park to learn more about the period of the park’s history in the 1940s when the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) trained spies in the park.Take a rugged two mile hike off-trail with a ranger to an old OSS training ground at 10:00 am or 1:00pm. These hikes are limited to 30 visitor each and first-come, first-serve free tickets for the hike will be available at the event at Cabin Camp 2 starting at 9:00am. Unfortunately, the off-trail hike is inaccessible to wheelchairs and strollers. It is recommended to wear long pants and hiking shoes if planning to do the off-trail hike.Tour the cabin camp with a ranger at 10:00am or 1:00pm to learn more about the OSS.Take a self-guided tour of Cabin Camp 2 anytime between 9:00am and 3:00pm.Pets are prohibited in the cabin camps although service animals are welcome.
