 Whidbey Playhouse is excited to announce auditions for Noël Coward’s classic comedic farce, Blithe Spirit! This witty and supernatural play offers a delightful blend of sharp dialogue, eccentric characters, and ghostly mischief.Audition Dates: Saturday, August 23 & Sunday, August 24.Time:  8/23 1-3 pm, 8/24 12-2 pmLocation: STAR Studio, Whidbey PlayhouseDirected by Dave Frazer, Blithe Spirit tells the story of Charles Condomine, a novelist who invites a medium to conduct a séance for research purposes—only to summon the ghost of his late wife, Elvira, accidentally. Chaos ensues when Elvira sets out to disrupt his current marriage to the very-much-alive Ruth.We are seeking a diverse cast of performers with strong comedic timing and a flair for the absurd. Roles available include: Charles Condomine – a charming yet conflicted writer. Ruth Condomine – Charles’ practical and witty second wife. Elvira – the glamorous and mischievous ghost. Madame Arcati – an eccentric and energetic medium.
