At Encompass, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive - and with your support, together we can make that belief a reality. Saturday, November 1, 2025 Hyatt Regency Bellevue 5:00 - 6:30 pm: Champagne Reception, Hors d'Oeuvres, Silent Auction, Raffle, Wine Wall, and Photo Booth 6:45 - 9:30 pm: Dinner and Live Auction 9:30 - 11:00 pm: After-Party  Semi-formal to formal attire encouraged. The second episode in our multi-episode series, here we take a closer look at three families who played significant roles in Issaquah's early years. The Bushes, the first permanent settler family in the valley. They set up the first school, and developed strong ties with local Indigenous peoples; The Pickerings, whose barn still stands today and is perhaps the most enduring artifact of our agricultural beginnings; The Sylvesters, a father and son whose humble beginnings as Issaquah's third Station Agent preceded the financial force they were to become and whose legacy retains a strong presence even today; and The brothers Gibson and their families who civil leanings and strong character impacted the lives of many throughout the greater Issaquah area, and whose living legacy includes the majestic Ginkgo tree that stands on the east side of Front St. just south of Sunset Way. Attendance is free. For those that are able, donations are accepted.

Learn some new moves in our historic Hippodrome with Amanda Johnson, owner of Snoqualmie Valley Line Dancing and a country dance instructor with over ten years of experience. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a total beginner, all skill levels are welcome! Doors open at 5:30 PM Line dance lesson starts at 6:00 PM Open floor and guided dance until 9:00 PM We’ll have delicious food coming hot off the BBQ from our in-house Culinary Team and drinks will be available for purchase from our friends at Alveare Winery.
