Come spend a relaxed summer evening connecting with other caregivers at Columbia Tech Center Park! CaRES Clark County Connector Aric will be there to welcome you, offer support, and help create space for caregivers to connect while the kids play.  This casual gathering is open to all caregivers of DCYF-involved children, including kinship and licensed foster families. If you’ve finalized guardianship or adoption, you’re welcome, too! Whether this is your first CaRES event or you’ve joined us before, we’d love to have you.  Look for the red pop-up and CaRES flag at the park on Wednesday, July 17th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.Columbia Tech Center Park –17717 SE Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98683  Feel free to bring snacks, water, or anything your family might enjoy at the park. CaRES Community Connector, Lori, hosts a monthly breakfast for caregivers across Central Washington to gather, socialize and support one another. This group is open to all caregivers of DCYF-involved children including kinship and licensed foster families. If you have finalized guardianship or adoption, we’d love to have you, too! The group is ever evolving, so feel free to drop in for one month, or many. The group is better with you in it as we learn from one another and talk about our shared experiences, solve problems and get connected to one another.  Meet us at 10 am on Saturday, July 19th for coffee and breakfast at The Drip in Moses Lake, located at 121 W 3rd Avenue. We ask that only adults attend and plan to pay for their own coffee or meal, although a purchase is not required to attend.   Please let Lori know if you plan to attend breakfast by emailing [email protected] or by texting her at 206-850-4464.

Ready to beat the Spokane heat? Your local CaRES Community Connector and fellow foster and adoptive mom, Sarah, is gathering a group of foster, kinship and adoptive families for an afternoon of water fun at the Upper Manito Splash Pad. Sarah will be there to greet you at 3pm on Sunday, July 27th .  There will be snacks and juice provided and fun for all. All you need is your family, towels and some sunscreen. Come cool off and leave knowing that there are other families who share your experience as a caregiver. The group is open to all caregivers including relatives, kinship families and those licensed by DCYF or a private agency.   Sarah would love to know if your family plans to attend.
