Welcome you to 9th Grade/New Student Orientation on Wednesday August 27 th  at 9 AM. See below for all the information you need to know about the day. Who: any new students of any grade are invited, although new 9 th  graders will make up the biggest group. This event is not for parents, but there is an event for parents happening too! (See below!) Parent Orientation:  Parents of ninth graders and students new to our school are invited to a parent orientation starting at 9 am in the LWHS theater.  The first hour will focus on information about our school, along with a student panel.  The second hour will have breakout sessions on how to set up students for success, AP classes, sports and athletics and more.  Come for part or all! What: come to LW for a welcome assembly, then breakout with 2-3 leaders who will give you a tour, get you your school picture, and tell you everything you need to know alongside a group of ten of your new friends.  When: August 27 th  from 9 AM to 11:30 AM (no lunch or food is provided - please eat before or after) Where: Meet outside the LW main entry. We will start in the gym and let you in right at 9 AM! Why: starting at a new school is scary. We are here for you. Our leaders love LW and want you to love it to, don't miss this opportunity to connect.   Other things to know: Lunch and food not provided. Dress comfy, you will be moving around.  You do not need a backpack or any school supplies. All supplies will be provided.
