On Read Across America Day, we celebrate the joy of learning and give thanks to the parents, caregivers, educators, librarians, authors, and community members who invest in our Nation's children. The National Education Association launched Read Across America in 1998 as a year-round program to celebrate reading. Given Dr. Seuss' impact on the reading world, his birthday (March 2) was declared Read Across America Day. School Social Work Week We are excited to recognize and support School Social Workers during School Social Work Week! Did you know that School Social Workers are trained mental health professionals who serve as the link between home, school, and community?
