A large format, black & white photography exhibit that features a myriad of fantastical landscapes celebrating Washington’s Volcanoes. This new art show opening features a must-see collection celebrating our local volcanoes. You’ll feel a love for these perfect forms beyond the exotic sensations of climbing and skiing these magnificent peaks. This very special set of visual experiences is usually reserved exclusively for the volcano climber. In this show, Scott Rinckenberger brings it to you; giant domes, multi-layered landscapes and simultaneously remarkable symmetry, yet wildly individual panoramas and peaks that will leave you breathless. More about the show: If you ask a perfectly sane person when ski season ends, you’ll get answers ranging from mid-March to early May. If you ask a backcountry skiing addict like Scott Rinckenberger, well, you’ll get a different answer entirely. See, as soon as ski season ends in the resorts and local mountain passes, a second season has just begun. It can happen on any high peaks with glaciers or permanent snowfields, but here in the great state of Washington, we are blessed with a plethora of mountains that were perfectly designed for this second season. Here, we have volcanoes. For a few months each year, these epic mountains open themselves up to those seeking an extended ski season, and who are willing to put in the work. These runs are designed to satisfy all: the beginner who wants to discover what the buzz about trail running is, the competitive runner who wants to get a few more miles in for that week, and the seasoned ultra-runner who just loves hill repeats! Every week we meet along the I-90 corridor for a 4-mile, +/- 1,000' of vertical trail run which can be completed easily in approximately an hour. We then spend a few minutes refueling, enjoying hot tea or coffee and fellowship.

Every week a different location along the I-90 corridor, between exits 27 and Snoqualmie Pass.

The ESSENTIAL CINEMA film series brings you the films that must be seen. Our feature for May is Wim Wender's beautiful western meditation: Paris, Texas. Highly rated as one of the most visually stunning films of our time, this is a piece of cinema that truly can't be missed.    Synopsis: A disheveled man who wanders out of the desert, Travis Henderson (Harry Dean Stanton) seems to have no idea who he is. When a stranger manages to contact his brother, Walt (Dean Stockwell), Travis is awkwardly reunited with his sibling. Travis has been missing for years, and his presence unsettles Walt and his family, which also includes Travis's own son, Hunter (Hunter Carson).
