No registration required, but limited capacity. Ask Wheelock Branch staff for assistance. People are helped in the order of arrival. Given time limits and staff availability, it is often easier to assist with specific issues and learning goals. Staff can help narrow your focus. Some goals may require multiple sessions. If you need help right away, explore Tacoma Public Library's always available online computer learning and assistance resources as well as the free DigitalLearn online courses available from the Public Library Association.

Join us for one in a series of climate change themed programs brought to you by the Museum of Glass. This is an all-ages presentation with opportunities for families to interact with close up photos of birds and their different beak shapes and compare them to some of the eating utensils we use. Kids will "practice" how pelicans, hummingbirds and woodpeckers find food. Because birds only have one utensil to choose from and can't just change what they eat, how can we help protect the places they find food? (A worksheet is also included) This program is part of a series in support of the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read program, Bewilderment by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Powers, and the Museum of Glass.

Through gentle movement, breathing practices, relaxing music, chair yoga, and mindful meditation, we'll explore how presence and self-awareness can deepen the way we express ourselves and connect with the people around us. Whether you're a longtime TRC community member or joining us for the first time, this workshop is a space to feel grounded, be seen, and meet someone new. All ability levels welcome. Free to attend.
