A memory cafe is a place where people with MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment), early stage Alzheimer's or related dementia can go with their care partners to socialize and have fun with other people going through similar things. A memory cafe has no real agenda or stated purposes except to enjoy each other's company. Cafes provide a time where you do not need to focus on the diagnosis, while having a great time connecting with each other as a family or creating new friendships.

Predictive AI is used to give recommendations on streaming media platforms (such as Netflix and Hulu), voice assistant apps such as Apple’s Siri and Windows Copilot, web search results, and automated customer service assistants online. The most recent development in artificial intelligence is generative AI, which uses user prompts to generate text, images, audio, and more! It provides a conversational approach to answering questions, which provides a more user-friendly approach. Learn about this and more from the first lecture by Senior Planet! There’s a National Register of Historic Place (and a Wisconsin Historical Society list too) where you will find almost 70 outstanding buildings and places in our area. Why were these Registers created? How does a building get considered – or rejected – for the list? Who decides? Which ones can you visit, and which ones are private property? Let’s take a look at our local gems and thank the “powers that be” for preserving them! To round out the picture and remind ourselves of the importance of highlighting these buildings, we will look at some buildings in hindsight we could or should have done more to save, and a few that are vulnerable today. Additionally, we will look at a few important buildings not on any Register.  This program is presented by Michael Rehberg, lead interpreter at Black Point Estate, the Wisconsin Historical Society's historic house museum in Lake Geneva.
