This evocative exhibition showcases the works of husband and wife Brian and Angela Szabo. Though Brian and Angela Szabo each bring their own distinct artistic voice to the gallery, a shared through-line runs gently beneath the work: a reverence for what endures. Discarded bones are reclaimed their beauty and dignity is celebrated. Forms emerge from beneath leaves and flowers. Beauty reveals itself slowly, through attention. At the heart of the exhibition is a pair of birds bearing a line from Pablo Neruda’s Sonnet XVII, from which the exhibition takes its title. The poem speaks of a love that is steady, unassuming, deeply rooted and inextricably intertwined. In many ways, this exhibition reflects that same truth: that what appears simple may hold profound depth. That love, carried faithfully over time, is one of the most enduring and beautiful forces we know.

Dance the night away — no partner, no experience, no problem. Join us on the first Friday of every month for an evening of movement, music, and community. In partnership with Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Oconomowoc, we’re bringing the joy of ballroom dance to Fort Atkinson in a way that’s welcoming, fun, and completely beginner-friendly. The evening kicks off with an hour-long dance lesson from 6:00–7:00 PM, led by professional ballroom dance instructors who will teach easy, approachable steps you can actually use on the dance floor. From 7:00–9:00 PM, the floor opens up for social dancing — put those new moves to work as we dance to modern hits you already know and love. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never set foot on a dance floor, you’ll feel right at home. Come solo, bring a friend, or make new ones here. Free. No partner necessary. All ages and abilities welcome.

This event brings together local health and wellness vendors and organizations, engaging fitness classes, and complimentary snacks, all designed to support and inspire your wellness journey. Spend the day connecting with health-focused experts, learning practical skills, and discovering resources that empower our community to feel better, move more, and stay prepared. On the main floor, explore a variety of vendors and community partners offering wellness services, education, and resources to help you maintain a healthier lifestyle.
