Los libros y las discusiones son completamente en espaĂąol.  Vamos a discutir 'La Tia Julia y el Escribidor,' escrito por Mario Vargas Llosa.  La biblioteca Sequoya tiene mĂĄs de diez copias del libro que pueden prestar. Stay tuned for a replacement date.< /p> The documentary Bad River chronicles the Wisconsin-based Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa's ongoing fight for sovereignty and protection of Lake Superior from the aging Line 5 oil pipeline. The film highlights the tribe's deep connection to the land and their resilience in the face of historical injustices and current threats, showcasing their David and Goliath battle against the pipeline and corporate interests. The documentary is produced by 50 Eggs Productions. The producers have graciously waived their fee for this screening. The documentary showing will be offered by the Midvale Heights Green Team and Sequoya Library. Mindfulness is the art of paying attention, of listening to your heart. Rather than worrying about the future or ruminating about the past, mindfulness can help you enjoy life more fully, effectively, and peacefully. Join us when you can to learn simple mindfulness and meditation techniques that can be incorporated into your everyday routine to reduce your stress and increase your well-being. Typically, each session will begin with a brief check-in, followed by a guided sitting meditation. Then Gloria will share reflections on some aspect of mindfulness. The group will discuss the topic and ask any questions about the practice. We will end with another sitting meditation. Experience in mindfulness or meditation is not necessary. Our Dungeon Master Jared will provide support and help guide campaigns along with our adult D& D experts and our Youth Librarian Ruth. This weekly session is for beginners. < p> About D& D: Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game that allows each player to create their own character to play. These characters embark upon imaginary adventures within a fantasy setting.
