In celebration of National Dairy Month, step into the boots of a maternity nurse and learn hands-on about cattle labor and delivery in our Moo-ternity & Delivery Experience—led by our birthing barn coordinator, Jill. During this 20-minute add-on experience, you’ll discover the three stages of cattle labor, how to identify each stage, and assist in a simulated calf birth. It’s a unforgettable sneak peek into life on the farm! Sessions take place at 12:00 PM every Saturday in June: June 7, June 14, June 21, and June 28Cost: $5/person Location: Land O’Lakes Birthing Barn Spots are limited, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Our immersive experience offers students the chance to visualize, interact with, read about, and investigate the food, fuel, and fiber produced in our state. From start to finish, a field trip to Farm Wisconsin will encourage students to explore the wonders of Wisconsin agriculture as they consider how this critical industry impacts each of their daily lives. Please note, advanced registration is required. Reservations must be made at least TWO WEEKs in advance. Final payment and head count are required at least one week prior to the scheduled visit.
