Ready to turn winter into a blast? âď¸đ Kewaunee Winter Park is the place to be! Grab your RVA family and friends and join us for an afternoon packed with snowy fun on the tubing hill. We'll meet and check-in from 12:00-12:15. Feel free to pack a lunch and enjoy it in the ski chalet before tubing starts at 12:30. At check in, you will be required to sign a "Tubing Agreement" or print it and bring it along (more details in the sign-up) and acknowledge that you understand the rules. Love tubing? Awesome! We'll have 2 and a half hours of fun! Slide, laugh, repeat â without the hike back up the hill! The Winter Park Associationâs state-of-the-art Magic Carpet (a standing-only conveyor belt) whisks tubers from the bottom to the top in under two minutes. The tubing hill features five exciting runs, each about 450 feet long with a 70-foot vertical drop â plenty of thrills for everyone! Not into tubing? No problem! Kick back, relax, and hang out with friends in the cozy ski chalet instead. For safety, individual riders must be at least 42" tall. Kids under 42" may ride on an adultâs lap, as long as they can stand on their own while riding the Magic Carpet. Infants and very young toddlers arenât allowed on the tubing hill, but theyâre welcome to stay warm and comfy in the ski chalet. Light concessions such as snacks and hot chocolate will be available to purchase in the ski chalet too!  *Please note that this event is weather permitting and we will notify you via email should we need to cancel due to warm/cold temperatures or other unfavorable conditions.  Check-in: 12:00-12:15pm Planning to attend? Join us for our February sublimation event.  This is a great event to make a custom project for you, or perhaps as a gift.  Weâll have a variety of items to choose from, including past favorites - puzzles, tote bags, mouse pads, pencil cases, aluminum signs, and mugs.  New this month will be metal bookmarks and earrings. This event is great for all grade levels. Elementary students are welcome, but they will need a parent to help them complete their projects. Materials will be provided for each RVA student to create one sublimation project. All designs will be made in Canva. You can create your design when you arrive, or feel free to prepare something ahead of time if you want a head start. Want more personalization? Youâre welcome to bring your own sublimation-ready item, too! (Tip: bringing two of the same item is always a good ideaâjust in case your first attempt needs a redo. Email Mr. MacDonald ahead of time to ensure heat press compatibility.) Everyone is invited to Capital Day!  Capitol Day is put together by the Parents for School Options group.  The day is intended to help our legislators learn and hear about how important full-time virtual learning is to all of us. Parents and students are all invited to attend this day starting at the Madison Concourse Hotel on Thursday, February 12th.   While the final schedule is still being set, you can expect to hear from some speaker(s) in the field before heading over to the Capitol to connect with your legislators; at least this is how the event has run in the past.
