It can be difficult to create positive change in the work environment or gain buy-in from others when you don't possess authority over a situation. This workshop focuses on helping you succeed when you don’t have authority and control over execution. Learn how successful influencers use strategy to leverage the power of networks, persuasion, and preparation. You will also learn how to influence people and use an Influence Model to frame your plan for being a successful influencer and networker. You will practice influencing techniques and enhance your learning with exercises, assessment tools, and group discussions.   Assess your influence behaviors and identify areas for development. Understand what influence is and what prevents you from getting what you need, when you need it. Recognize how to use different types of power to persuade others.

If you enjoy meeting people and sharing the benefits of partnership and collaboration with other business members, this is your committee! Chamber members are welcome to volunteer as an Ambassador. The Women's Business Connections (WBC) Steering Committee are volunteer female Chamber members who help organize and run activities and events for the Women's Business Connection group. Muskego Chamber's Women's Business Connections (WBC) is an extension group of our Chamber providing networking, support, and educational opportunities to female business members. Note: To participate in WBC, one must be a female Chamber member. There is an additional $50 annual fee that helps fund the WBC activities and events. WBC members are welcome to volunteer on the WBC Steering Committee. Interested? Contact [email protected]. Duties Attend committee meetings as scheduled. Join us for the first Networking Lunch in a series where the Muskego Chamber focuses on different nonprofit organizations within our local community.  For this first event, we will focus on a newer and little known organization that is facilitated by some of our school faculty. It is called Distinguished Young Women of Muskego. They are connected with the larger organization called Distinguished Young Women and place an empasis on scholarships, leadership, and talent for teenage gals. You can learn more about the parent organization at their website. And, more about the Muskego program on their Facebook page.  We hope you will join us for this informative lunch. Contact [email protected]. Duties Attend committee meetings as scheduled. Focus on annual events organized by the Chamber of Commerce as identified and defined by the Chamber's Board of Directors. Assist in obtaining event sponsors and promoting the event to businesses and/or community. Volunteer in the planning, setup/clean up, and activities of the Chamber's events. Current annual events handled by this committee include the Awards Gala & Fundraiser (March), Jammin' in the Park (June), DandiLion Daze Parade (August), and Golf Outing (September).
