Chair: Joseph Kreuser (CAM Tech, Inc) The Events Committee helps organize and implement the Chamber's events for business members and the community. Chamber members are welcome to volunteer on the Events Committee. Interested? Contact [email protected]. Duties Attend committee meetings as scheduled. Focus on annual events organized by the Chamber of Commerce as identified and defined by the Chamber's Board of Directors. Assist in obtaining event sponsors and promoting the event to businesses and/or community. Volunteer in the planning, setup/clean up, and activities of the Chamber's events. Current annual events handled by this committee include the Awards Gala & Fundraiser (March), Jammin' in the Park (June), DandiLion Daze Parade (August), and Golf Outing (September). Benefits of Volunteering Meet, encourage, and collaborate with other business members and event guests. Create positive networking relationships. Guest Speaker Bio Evan Umpir joined WMC in 2021 as Director of Tax, Transportation & Legal Affairs.  He previously worked in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Wisconsin Legislature, and Congress. In 2024, Evan was named as WMC’s General Counsel. While at DHS, Evan worked with Congress on transportation security issues and policy for all modes of transportation.  He coordinated policy and technical feedback on legislation, drafted testimony and prepared witnesses for Congressional hearings, and authored the response to a DHS Inspector General audit report. Evan previously worked in the Wisconsin Legislature where he successfully navigated 17 bills in two sessions to the Governor’s desk that became law and served as a committee clerk.  He worked closely with the State Bar of Wisconsin, Uniform Law Commission, and other stakeholders on legislation affecting the legal system. His prior experience in Congress includes assisting with oversight activities and conducting legal and policy research for the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee, the Senate’s chief oversight committee, and House Homeland Security Committee. Evan is a proud Wisconsin native and part owner of the Green Bay Packers.  He earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Marquette University.

The Board of Directors is the governing body responsible for policy-making and fiduciary oversight of the Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce. Our board consists of small business owners, local business managers, and entrepreneurs who are passionate about making the communities we serve (Muskego, Big Bend, Town of Norway, and Wind Lake) prosperous, vibrant, and a destination for work, home, and play. During the first quarter of the year, Chamber members elect Board members for the upcoming term of April 1 through March 31. This is a free marketing benefit that comes with chamber membership and includes: Business/Organization Biography on the Chamber's Webpage: Each spotlighted business submits a business biography that is uploaded to the Chamber's Business Spotlight Page. (Header of that page is shown above. Check it out! There are plenty of interesting biographies on that page.) Social Media Share: Spotlights are also shared across all of the Chamber's social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X.com, and the Muskego App. We encourage the spotlighted business/organization to also share our posts to their social media platforms. Display at Muskego City Hall: The City of Muskego graciously allows the Chamber to have a Business Spotlight table in the hallway directly across from the council's room. The 6-foot table is shared by both businesses being spotlighted. Each business may place items on the table such as coupons, giveaways (swag, merch, candy), signage, brochures, and/or floor sign (if desired). Items may be placed on the table the first of the month (or nearest business day) and should be removed the 30th or 31st of the month (or nearest business day). If you are interested in having your business or organization spotlighted, please follow these guidelines: Use this email to reserve a slot. There are two per month. Once a slot is reserved, it will no longer show as available during registration. All reservations are first come, first reserved basis. A business may only be featured once every two years. Once a registration is reserved, you will receive a business/organization biography form to fill out and submit. If necessary, it may be edited to fit the tone and space of our webpage. If changes are made, you will receive a copy to approve. Once a biography is approved, it will be uploaded to the webpage around the first business day of the month you are spotlighted and then shared on social media. The biography remains on the webpage for a minimum of two years. The Women's Business Connections (WBC) Steering Committee are volunteer female Chamber members who help organize and run activities and events for the Women's Business Connection group. Muskego Chamber's Women's Business Connections (WBC) is an extension group of our Chamber providing networking, support, and educational opportunities to female business members. Note: To participate in WBC, one must be a female Chamber member. There is an additional $50 annual fee that helps fund the WBC activities and events.
