The Oconomowoc Summer Farmers’ Market has been a Saturday community tradition for over 40 years!  It is managed by the Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce and runs weekly from the first Saturday in May to the last Saturday in October, except for the last weekend in July – in which a special Friday Night Farmers’ Market is held. Market-goers can find a variety of goods including seasonal produce, spices, herbs, soups, handmade arts and crafts, baked goods, plants, honey, cheeses, jams, canned goods, maple syrup, breads, and farm fresh eggs and meats.   Each week, visitors can find familiar favorites as well as exciting new additions. The Yellow Belt functions in a key role in organizational Lean Six Sigma sustainability. During this workshop, you will develop a solid understanding of process improvement techniques and how to utilize those techniques to make effective changes within your organization. In addition, you will become familiar with the fundamental tools associated with Lean and Six Sigma. Learn the DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). Understand the Lean and Six Sigma concepts. Develop a common language to discuss continuous improvement. Identify processes for assessing problems, deviations, and disruptions. Explore methods that support a culture of continuous improvement. Practice applying Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies to real-world applications.

This training focuses on fundamental leadership skills such as delegating, effective communication, building teams, giving and receiving feedback, and managing change. It covers a variety of topics that are essential for leaders today. You will learn an approach to leadership that contributes to personal and organizational success and discuss how to apply that approach to key business issues.    Discuss traits of an effective leader. Discover successful delegation methods. Complete the StrengthsFinder® assessment to identify and understand your strengths and leadership style. Join us for the Oconomowoc Watershed Protection Program's (OWPP) 11th Annual Paddle Event on Saturday, June 28, 2025.  The event begins at the carry-in launch located at 1050 S. Concord Road in the city of Oconomowoc. Explore the Oconomowoc River and learn about the importance of the watershed at this free, family friendly event cosponsored by the City of Oconomowoc and Tall Pines Conservancy.  Following the paddle, enjoy a lunch of hot dogs and brats, served at approximately 11:30 AM. A vegetable tray and other snacks will also be available. After lunch, an optional tour of the City of Oconomowoc's Wastewater Treatment Plant will take place.
