Limit: 20 people Two-Day Workshops qualify for WI Master Naturalist Advanced Trainings, but all adults are welcome to register. No prior experience is needed. The workshops include lecture and fieldwork. A variety of presenters will speak about aquatic invasive species, shoreland best practices, fish sticks, lake and stream monitoring, and lake and river ecology. Field work will be at or around Hunt Hill, looking at restored shorelands. Note: This course qualifies for Master Naturalist credit, but all adult learners are welcome to join! Every program starts in the Lower Level of the Richard Grand Recreation Hall at Hunt Hill Nature Center, unless otherwise noted. Guardians must stay for the duration of the program, and each program will feature a different nature theme. Depending on weather, we will be outside for a portion of this program. Please dress appropriately to be inside and outside in the weather. Follow colorful luminaries along a trail through the woods and enjoy fun lights, great music and entertainment with a family-friendly dance party. The event will feature a ¼ mile multi-color luminary-lit trail through the woods. In addition to the hike, families will enjoy a family-friendly dance party! Depending on the weather, the dance party will be under the stars, or in our heated Richard Grand Recreation Hall. Please dress appropriately for being outside.
