The Taste of Stoughton started with an idea for a pop up event during the 2019 Madison Area Builders Association Parade of Homes. Crystal Welsh, who was on the MABA Parade of Homes committee spearheaded this even with Matt Heitmann in 2019 for the MABA. After much debate & review, we discovered Stoughton, WI of having the most unique, single owned restaurants in one town. Naturally as a MABA Parade of Homes committee & as a MABA associate member, we decided to host the pop up event here in Stoughton, right outside of the entrance to the 2019 MABA Parade of Homes. We had 10 food vendors one pop & water stand, one band all in the street, welcoming Parade of Home ‘goers’ as they entered the houses. It was a day full of unknowns & turned out to be something bigger than we ever could have imagined. Now, going on our 5th year, we have grown to an event with all LOCAL bands, food, business vendors & community vendors. We truly wanted to give Stoughton & surrounding communities a “Taste of Stoughton”. General admission is FREE & all Kid Zone activities are FREE! Through other non-profits located here in Stoughton, days leading up to the event, the day of event & tear down/clean up are all made possible through our volunteer groups! As part of the gratitude for helping making the day possible, ALL proceeds go back to local non-profits in the community of Stoughton through their NP’s volunteer hours! Bring your blankets, chairs & kids to enjoy a day of local food, drink, music all while supporting the community! Officially a non-profit organization 501c3 Organization!

June 2 through June 30 Mondays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Stoughton Area Senior Center Not being able to forgive can lead to pain in many areas of our lives. We know we should forgive, we want to forgive, but how? Join instructor, Tim Markle, to learn methods of working toward forgiveness and learn to live a forgiving life. Tim’s education includes a BA degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy, a Master’s in Counseling, and a Master of Arts in Christian Studies. He has combined the scientific research around forgiveness with his personal journey to create this learning series.

Enjoy the rare and unusual tea and the best the world has to offer.  Yahara Chocolate & Tea imports tea directly from China and Taiwan and works with local partners to offer tea from other parts of Asia, India, and Africa. Saturday Morning Tea Saturdays at 9:30 (join our mailing list to be notified of changes), join Brook and learn about the history and steeping technique for an amazing White, Green, Oolong, Black, Puer, Hei Cha, or any other tea that is great.  Along with tasting and learning about the tea, a free sample or that tea will be available to steep at home (alternate samples will provided occasionally). Saturday Morning Tea is on Saturdays at 9:30.  Brook will plan on 2-3 Saturdays per month, so watch for our weekly newsletter for information each week.  If Brook will not be hosting, a sample will be left with steeping instructions.
