Seller Sign Up: Kids and Teen Winter 2025 Craft FairWhen: Wednesday, December 3, 2025 Set-Up Time: 3:00 PM Fair Time: 4:00–6:00 PM Where: Indoors, 2nd Floor Children’s Department, Avon Free Public Library Who: Sellers can be kids and teens age 18 and under. The child or teen must be the one selling at the table during the craft fair. What: Sell your cool hand-made creations and crafty treasures. How to JoinSellers must sign up online to reserve a table. A limited number of table spaces are available.Please describe your craft as specifically as possible when signing up.Good example: “Polymer clay necklaces and homemade cake pops.”Not enough detail: “Jewelry and baked goods.”We will only allow two sellers of the same type of item in order to keep a variety of offerings. If you are not one of the first two with that type of craft, we’ll reach out to adjust what you’re selling.Your table is not reserved until you receive an email of approval from library staff (Mary, Dee, or Marisa). Staff will respond during normal library hours of operation. If you have a photo of your craft, please include it when you email with library staff before your confirmation.  Important RemindersAll crafts for sale must be 100% kid or teen made.We give preference to hand-made items. Factory-made or machine-made products are not allowed.To keep the fair focused on hand-made crafts, we ask that you don’t bring 3D printed items to sell.Please make sure your child or teen wants to participate before registering them.If someone signs up to sell one thing but brings something completely different on the day of the fair (for example, signing up to sell crocheted items but showing up with cookies), Avon Free Public Library may not prioritize their registration for future craft fairs.Frequently Asked QuestionsCan I work with a friend or sibling? Yes. Register under one name—you’ll share one table. There will be a question on the form for “other sellers at your table.” Can I sell food or baked goods? Yes, you can. Be ready to share a list of ingredients and potential allergens with your buyers. We will send check-in and reminder emails as the event date approaches.

Join us for “Part Two” of the Einstein programs! In Nazi Germany, Einstein’s scientific notoriety and his public opposition to war nearly cost him his life and forced him to seek refuge in America. During the rise to power of Adolf Hitler and the advent of World War II, Einstein made every effort to help Jewish intellectuals and artists leave Germany for America. “Albert Einstein: Reluctant Superstar” will introduce audiences to the great scientist’s principled stand against injustice and the price he paid for his unwavering devotion to humanity. The performance will begin with a brief recap of his stunning scientific breakthrough in 1919 when his theory of general relativity was confirmed. News of his triumph brought him worldwide acclaim and the status of a “superstar” in the eyes of the public. About George Capaccio: Before becoming a professional storyteller, George performed in many of Boston’s theaters, including the American Repertory Theater. For 5 years, he acted with Boston’s Museum of Science’s Science Theater. He also worked with Boston-based children’s theater companies as an actor, writer, workshop leader, and artist educator. Building on this experience, George went on to co-host The Children’s Room, a nationally broadcast, award-winning children’s TV show. This free 90-Minute training will be run by Justine Ginsberg, BSN, RN Justine is the Community Health Coordinator and Program Director – RGH for Farmington Valley Health District. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. Three simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying “Yes” to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor. QPR can be learned in our Gatekeeper course in as little as one hour. As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper you will learn to: recognize the warning signs of suicideknow how to offer hopeknow how to get help and save a life  If you are a Parent, Caregiver, Veteran, Educator, Teenager, or a compassionate human, you are welcome to attend this workshop. Please register you will receive a certificate at the end of this training. Class size is limited to 30 people.
