This body of work reflects the delicate dance between strength and vulnerability, chaos and peace, culture and selfhood. Like flowers blooming through concrete, these portraits embody grace as both a force and a flourish—soft yet unbreakable. Tracy GuiteauTracy Guiteau is a visionary artist whose passion for creativity has shaped her life’s journey. For Tracy, art is not just a career choice it is a destiny that has guided her every step. Born to traditional Haitian parents in New York, Tracy faced the challenge of reconciling her artistic calling with her parents’ expectations of pursuing a career in nursing. However, the undeniable pull of art led her to make a courageous decision. Leaving tradition behind, she enrolled in the Rhode Island School of Design, where she immersed herself in the world of fashion design and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts.Tracy’s time at the Rhode Island School of Design fueled her artistic curiosity, inspiring her to broaden her horizons through extensive travel and refine her skills at the University of Westminster in London. These experiences enriched her creative process and imbued her work with a unique perspective.Today, Tracy Guiteau’s remarkable talent and insatiable spirit for art have propelled her to incredible heights. Her captivating artworks have been showcased in prestigious international exhibitions, including the esteemed Miami Art Basel. Notably, Tracy’s exceptional style and artistic vision led her to collaborate with renowned figures such as top tennis player Naomi Osaka and the digital media company founded by iconic athlete LeBron James during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.In a particularly significant moment in Tracy’s career, Disney recognized her exceptional artistic prowess and selected her to be a part of a special art exhibition in conjunction with the launch of the Black Panther sequel film, “Wakanda Forever.” This honor is a testament to Tracy’s ability to create art that resonates with audiences on a profound level. Self Portrait Painting with Primary Colors 2-Day

Join Resident Artist and instructor, Ma Nong, for a workshop to create a self portrait using primary colors (red, blue, yellow). In this two day workshop, you will learn how to format the portrait composition, mix colors from the limited palette, and create a unique portrait! Painting by mixing the three primary colors helps a lot in understanding color thoery as well as how to use acrylic paint. Attendees must attend both dates. Attendees must bring portrait image that they would like to paint. We encountered strangeness and difference at every turn, but the sunlight, sky, and green nature of the subtropical culture always gave me warm inspiration. I have lived in South Florida for a decade now compressing and symbolizing this into color-rich cubes representing home, the strangeness of being different from my native country, and the process of adapting. Gradually, I developed a series of portraits exploring the signifiers of human nature. Humanoid figures are portrayed as children’s dolls with exaggerated heads and smaller torsos and are centered and anchored as if trying to root themselves into the frame. They reflect child-like vulnerability where the feelings of dread, loneliness, and weakness to the familiar/unfamiliar world are present. Dimensional crystalline shapes simultaneously create and break the form symbolizing complex units that both comprise and undermine identity. Color is bold and convincing, resembling that of nationality, yet it doesn’t reveal the true origin of the figure. In this process of seeing and feeling all my surrounding environments, large puzzles are put together one by one, and these experiences are fused and harmonized in one complete work. ** Please note, Refunds will be processed only if requested 72+ hours prior to scheduled workshop date/time. In this bold, hands-on acrylic painting workshop, we’re taking traditional still life to a whole new level of dynamic! Push past the typical bowl of fruit and bring energy, texture, and personality into your compositions. Whether you’re playing with light, bold shapes, or creating playful juxtapositions, you’ll learn how to make every object pop off the canvas. No sleepy apples here—just vibrant, life-filled scenes that demand attention. Get ready to inject some serious attitude into your art and transform everyday objects into jaw-dropping visual stories! Some painting experience recommended. Bring smock and gloves if desired. Supplies included. Instructor Information: Renée Rey, an award-winning artist born in Sagamihara, Japan, lives and works in Delray Beach, Florida. Rey’s artwork has been recognized in national awards and exhibitions by notable museum and gallery professionals including Jade Dellinger, Director of Exhibits & Collections, Bob Rauschenberg Gallery, Fort Myers, FL Julie Sasse, Chief Curator, Tucson Museum of Art, Tucson AZ Erin Wright, Commissioning Editor and Producer, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, CA and Gisela Carbonell, Curator, Cornell Fine Arts Museum, . Honored with the 2024 Dina Baker Fund Grant from the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, Rey’s work has graced galleries across the globe. Recent solo shows include Bailey Contemporary Arts Gallery, Pompano Beach, FL, Tauni De Lessep Gallery at Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, FL, and the Hammond Hall Gallery, Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, AL. Her group exhibitions span the Baker Museum, Naples, FL, Flatiron Gallery, New York, NY, Studio 33, Spain, Art Brut Biennale, Netherlands, and Project Space Brut, South Korea. Rey was awarded artist residencies at Bailey Contemporary Arts (2023-2024), School of Visual Arts in New York (2019), and Sun Peaks Center for Art and Sustainability (2016). Her art is in the collections of Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., New York, NY, First Albany, New York, NY, and Wasmer Art Collection at Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers, FL. She served as the International Curator for the 2021 art exhibition “Lo Cierto Es Lo Incierto” held in Soriano, Uruguay. A dynamic lecturer, Rey has inspired students at Florida Gulf Coast University, New College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. With nearly a decade of teaching drawing, painting, and creativity in Florida, Rey brings a wealth of experience and education to her work. Her background includes extensive undergraduate coursework in drawing, painting, 3-D design, performance art, and art history and graduate courses in film and computer art. She holds an MBA in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an A.A.S. in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design, an M.A. in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Judaic Studies from the University at Albany. This diverse educational foundation infuses her artistic practice with exceptional depth and perspective.

MIXED MEDIA PORTRAITS in the STREET ART STYLE Led by Janie Reisler $120 (includes a materials fee) In this workshop, attendees will focus on creating a self portrait or portrait, using mixed media elements with a Street Art inspired style influenced by a few street artists. Today many artists of this genre choose celebrities to create a tribute of someone they admire and celebrate them in portraiture. Prior to attending class, please choose the person, theme or concept to use in the workshop. Bring selfies and/or images in large black and white (on copy paper okay) to incorporate into your piece, along with your creativity! We will demonstrate many techniques that street artists use today in their work, specifically inspired by artist STIKKI PEACHES of Montreal. All materials included, except for images of your theme. The techniques/information include: Proper collage techniqueGold leaf applicationPhoto transfers with gel mediumGraffiti typography inspirationA brief history of the street art styleStudents will be learning about a handful of muralists as well as their drawing techniques to draw inspiration from their work. REGISTER HERECollage Workshop This workshop will explore various collage techniques with a broad range of media, including unique papers, old books, fabric, lettering, photocopies, and magazines. All materials will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring collage materials of their own to create more personal works of art. Collage making is accessible to everyone, and provides opportunity to create dynamic, thought provoking imagery for personal expression. Collage media/materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. (Collage media can include colored paper, fabric remnants, magazine clippings, wallpaper scraps, vinyl lettering, photocopies, etc.) About the Teaching Artist: Kim Rae Taylor is a visual artist and educator based in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she serves as Associate Professor of Fine Art for the University of Cincinnati Clermont College. She received her MFA from the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati, and her BFA from The University of Texas at Austin. Additional studies include the University of Georgia in Cortona, Italy, and the Metáfora Center for Art Therapy Studies in Barcelona, Spain. She has been an artist in residence at Taipei Artist Village in Taiwan, Red Gate in Beijing, and Cill Rialaig in County Kerry, Ireland. Taylor has also worked as a graphic designer and illustrator, including work in cartoon animation. Her mixed media paintings and drawings explore a variety of themes informed by nature, language, and gender. Join photographer and studio resident Andrea Sarcos for an inspiring evening of camera exploration, creative discovery, and golden hour magic. Whether you’re brand new to photography or looking to sharpen your skills, this hands-on workshop is designed for all levels. Bring your digital camera (even if you’ve never used it—we’ll guide you!) and make sure it’s charged with a cleared memory card. No camera? No problem. Smartphones are welcome too. Instructor Information:Andrea SarcosAndrea is a freelance photographer, educator and interdisciplinary artist. Since 2018 she has taught photography classes to students K-12 as a Senior Artist in Residence at the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County, the fifth largest Club organization in the United States. Sharing her knowledge of photography, she sparked interest in hundreds of young kids who have learned how to use digital cameras, tell a story visually, create interesting portraits and intentionally explore their communities. Andrea curates an annual group exhibit of her students’ best work of the year to be on display at Florida Atlantic University’s Schmidt Gallery. Other exhibits of her students’ work include the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center in Belle Glade and the Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta. She has led educational trips with National Geographic Student Expeditions and Putney Student Travel, focusing on photography while collaborating with experts in other fields like biology and science. Andrea is based in Boca Raton, Florida. Her work focuses on issues surrounding identity, migration, memory through the lens of visual storytelling. Her photography journey began in high school seeing her images come to life in darkroom chemicals. She received dual bachelors degrees in Journalism and Visual Art Studies from the University of Florida (2015). Join us for “Playful Poppies in Watercolor.” We will explore the vibrant world of these whimsical flowers through the versatile medium of watercolor. You’ll learn simple techniques to capture the joy of poppies and their playful charm. Learn to infuse your paintings with delicate textures and intricate details, bringing these blossoms to life on paper. Whether you’re a seasoned artist looking to add new techniques to your repertoire or a beginner eager to explore watercolor painting, this workshop offers a hands-on approach to essential techniques. From understanding color palettes and brush techniques to selecting the perfect pigments and exploring different types of paper, you’ll gain valuable insights and practical experience to enhance your artistic journey. You’ll leave with your very own 9″x12″ watercolor painting of Poppies at the end of this class.
