My name is Anna McCurry and I am president of the Andale FFA Chapter this year. As an FFA chapter, it is our goal to advocate for agriculture and educate others in our community about ag. Our chapter would like to host an educational Fall Festival event for Colwich, St. Marks, and Andale elementary students in 3rd-5th grade. Our idea is to have experts in certain agriculture fields present and do fun, agriculture-based activities with each group of students. The goal is to have 5 experts from different ag fields present and for rotations to last 15 minutes. To provide the most focused experience for the students, we would like for each elementary school to come at different time slots. Currently, our goal is to host Fall Fest on October 1st. Please let me know if this date works for your school. I have included the secretaries and/or principals of each elementary school in this email. We plan to host the Fall Fest at Andale's St. Joseph Church in the parking lot across from the church. Below I have listed tentative time slots for each elementary school. If the time frame falls at a crucial time in the 3rd-5th graders day (such as lunch) or if you cannot find transportation for the students, please let me know and we can work out solutions as needed.
