Writers are invited to attend a weekly informal gathering to workshop their prose and poetry in-progress. Everyone is welcome to bring three single-spaced or six double-spaced pages max and enough copies so that everyone can read along and provide feedback. Writers will take turns reading their work aloud, with a volunteer moderator leading the discussion. Writers aren’t allowed to talk while being critiqued.

Community Legal Aid’s Fair Housing Project will be at the Greenfield Public Library to offer information and answer questions on a variety of fair housing issues, including racial harassment, refusal to rent due to family status, refusal to remove lead paint, and discrimination based on disability. Community Legal Aid’s Fair Housing Project assists renters who have been treated unfairly because of their race, religion, sex, color, national origin, disability, and familial status in Central and Western Massachusetts. Stavros Center for Independent Living in Amherst, MA, is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities and Deaf people live as independently as possible. They believe in self-empowerment and that everyone has the right to live life on their own terms. Stavros offers a variety of services, including peer counseling, skills training, and advocacy. They can help you with things like finding accessible housing, getting the right healthcare, or transitioning from a nursing home back into the community.
