Join us for our 2nd Annual Match Play Putting Championship, where 32 competitors will battle through a bracket-style tournament for the chance to earn permanent bragging rights.   Whether you're a seasoned golfer or simply love a little friendly competition, this event is designed for all skill levels. Every putt counts as you work your way toward the championship match and a spot on the Welter's Folly Champions Board.   Tournament Format Individual competition (no partner required) Limited to the first 32 registered players Random NCAA-style bracket seeding (no qualifying round) Single-elimination championship bracket Players eliminated from the championship bracket will continue in a consolation bracket to compete for 3rd Place 18-hole match play Championship and consolation winners determined by match play PRIZES Champion Permanent recognition on the Welter's Folly Champions Board Engraved bottle of Journeyman whiskey (21+) $30 Journeyman Gift Card Runner-Up Engraved bottle of Journeyman whiskey (21+) $20 Journeyman Gift Card 3rd Place Engraved bottle of Journeyman whiskey (21+) $10 Journeyman Gift Card Registration Registration is limited to the first 32 players and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. With a smooth, soulful voice and a collection of heartfelt and captivating songs, Joe has established himself as one of the most cherished R&B artists of our time.  His achievements include multiple chart-topping hits and a dedicated fanbase that spans the globe. A self-described “country boy” born in South Georgia and raised in Alabama, Joe often accompanied his traveling evangelist father on the road.  Growing up, he also learned to play the guitar and piano while developing his vocal skills in church.  Joe’s dream of attending Dillard University in New Orleans to study business and law took a backseat when he opted to relocate to New Jersey in pursuit of a musical career.  After notching his first R&B top 10 for Mercury Records in 1993 with “I’m in Luv,” Joe began hitting his stride in the mid-‘90s with the R&B and pop crossover smash “All the Things (Your Man Won’t Do).” An ensuing string of hits—“All That I Am,” “I Wanna Know,” “No One Comes Close”—sealed Joe’s reputation in the 2000s as an R&B superstar.  And the seven-time Grammy nominee’s memorable collaborations with Mariah Carey (“Thank God I Found You”), Big Pun (“Still Not a Player”) and G-Unit (“Wanna Get to Know You”) further underscored his musical versatility. “I’d love to be remembered in the same league as a Marvin Gaye,” says Joe.  “And I’ve got time.  That’s the beauty of R&B. They are available for corporate team building, company outings, bachelor/bachelorette parties and novice shooters. Deer Creek offers a variety of courses in Sporting Clays; for the beginner, intermediate, and experienced shooters. They like to compare this sport to golf, except you’ll be using a shotgun instead of clubs. Typically a course consists of twelve individual stations. All stations are fully automated and each station will throw two separate clay targets, either at the same time (true pair) or one after the other has been shot (report pair). Golf carts are available to travel around the sporting clay courses if desired.
