Join the City of Carlsbad as part of the Honoring 250 Years Fourth of July Celebration to recognize and celebrate all men and women who have served in the U.S. military. The annual Veterans Ceremony will take place immediately following the MainStreet Parade and will honor veterans for their service and sacrifice. Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026 Time: 10:30 AM (following the MainStreet Parade) Location: Cavern Theatre Cost: Free Registration Required: Yes (deadline June 22, 2026)   Veterans interested in participating may register online: https://forms.gle/1TtNx385o6E7hEUFA or in person at City Hall, Cascades Wellness & Recreation Center, or Alejandro Ruiz Senior Center.

Junior Police Academy is a program designed for children to learn about the world of law enforcement in a fun and interactive way. Throughout this course, participants will be introduced to various topics such as crime scene investigation, the role of patrol officers, defense tactics, dispatch operations, traffic enforcement, use of force, and canine operations. The program is tailored to provide children with a basic understanding of police work, and the skills necessary to promote safety within their communities. Through engaging activities, games, and interactive discussions, children will learn about the tools, techniques, and procedures used by law enforcement agencies to keep their neighborhoods safe.   Ages: 6 and up Instructor: Carlsbad Police Department  Total Course Hours: 4 Cost: $25 When: June 22 - 25 (Monday - Thursday) Time: 1:00pm - 2:00pm Location: SENMC Room 102   How to Register in Community Education Classes  Register in person at our SENMC Community Education Office, Office 1B.
