Book Character DayOn Monday May 5 - we will be having a school wide &ldquo Dress Like a Book Character Day&rdquo . We are encouraging all students to participate. You can Google &ldquo book character day&rdquo or look on Pinterest for suggestions. A few simple ideas are: - Olivia the Pig &ndash pig nose red dress black and white pants · Clifford &ndash red sweat suit dog ears dog collar · Cat In the Hat &ndash red and white hat paint face like a cat · Harry Potter &ndash glasses wand cape Don't forget to bring the book to match your character. Remember:- Book characters that have become movies are acceptable &ndash like Harry Potter Cinderella etc. - Scary book characters are not allowed. - Everyone must follow the WUES Dress Code. Weather Permitting -- We will have a Book Character Parade at 7:40 am. After 7:35 parents are invited to gather on the PM car rider line - near the playground. Students will parade from Kindergarten hall to 5th grade hall. Parents should make a &ldquo tunnel/walkway&rdquo for students to walk through. Students that dress up and are in the parade might have their pictures posted on WUES Social Media. If you do not want your child's picture on Social Media please let your child's teacher know to not allow them in the parade.
