NOTE: This training takes place at the Chardon Creativity Center makerspace located inside Chardon High School (369 Maple Ave, Chardon, OH 44024) not the Chardon Branch. For assistance locating the makerspace doors, please call 440-285-7601 ext.2552.This is the mandatory training session for the direct-to-garment printer, which is now available at both the Bainbridge Branch and the Chardon Creativity Center. Print designs directly on to T-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, aprons, socks, cotton fabric and more. Learn the basic steps to use the sublimation printer so that you can come to the Bainbridge branch and create your own one-of-a-kind items.All ages welcome to attend the training session. Children under 12 need a guardian with them to use the sublimation printer. The guardian must also attend this training before helping a minor with the machine. NOTE: This event is at the Administrative Center (12701 Ravenwood Dr. Chardon, OH 44024), not at Bainbridge or the Chardon Creativity Center.This is the mandatory training session for the large format printer/cutter available at the Bainbridge Branch and at the Chardon Creativity Center. The training also covers the heat press as it works well with the printer. The large format printer/cutter prints banners, posters, stickers, and heat transfer vinyl for garments and bags. Use the heat press to attach any heat transfer design from the printer on to your chosen shirt, sweatshirt, apron, bag, or other fabric. Learn the basic steps to use the large format printer/cutter and heat press so that you can come to the Bainbridge branch or the Chardon Creativity Center and create your own one-of-a-kind items.All ages welcome to attend the training session. Children under 12 need a guardian with them to use the large format printer/cutter and heat press. The guardian must also attend this training before helping a minor with the machines. No registration required.The staff member will be available to answer your questions.You must take the mandatory training and sign the user agreement before scheduling a session in the Inspiration Station. Machines include: 3D scanner, Cricut Maker, direct-to-garment printer, embroidery machine, heat press, large format printer, laser engraver, and vinyl cutter.Although no training is necessary to use the sewing machines, staff can help with the sewing machines as well.Staff are happy to answer questions, offer suggestions for projects, and find resources for you during this time. Staff will not help with design or do any project for you.

Each DLL is comprised of equipment and software for digitization projects, including 8mm and super8 film scanners, photo and document scanners, vinyl record and cassette recorders, microphones, and VHS tapes. Digital Legacy Lab Orientations are available at least once a month to provide an introduction to the Digital Legacy Lab’s equipment and the process of digitization. The orientation is lecture-based and does not include hands-on training with any equipment. Additional individual support is available during consultation hours with the Digitization Specialist.Registration is required.
