Since 2007, C@P has been creating a table of love and acceptance for those who need it most and empowering people to change their lives and exit poverty by providing vital low barrier shelter and employment services. C@P seeks the mutual transformation of unsheltered people, staff, and volunteers through relationships, agency partnerships, and tangible resources.    To date, C@P has focused on providing three things for their unsheltered neighbors: collaborative outreach and navigation, housing-focused sheltering, and workforce development; C@P is now working toward a fourth focus of supported permanent housing, which will help them to be even more successful at achieving our other three aims. The Vision Several years ago, a husband and wife entertained the idea of opening transitional housing in the Salem-Keizer area. They envisioned a housing environment where individuals recovering from substance abuse could work towards self-sufficiency among their peers. The couple has developed a structure based on personal requirements and expectations. Within their homes, they want individuals to identify barriers to self-sufficiency and through goal setting activities work towards removing those obstacles. At Soaring Heights, they recognize that there are many pathways to recovery. Individuals that participate in Medicated Assisted Treatment are welcomed. The vision is to see that all who strive to be clean and sober can do so in a safe environment.   Friday Morning = Greeters! Get ready for an unforgettable evening! The beneficiaries of the Red, White & Boots Gala are Veterans in our community who are working to overcome barriers leading to homelessness and housing instability. Every dollar raised helps Veterans rebuild their lives by supporting safe housing environments, access to critical services, and the essential resources needed to move forward with confidence and self-sufficiency. Gala donations provide flexible funding for essential items and services not covered by grant funding, including daily living needs, community-building activities, and move-in assistance for Veterans transitioning into permanent housing—helping restore stability, dignity, and independence.

Leadership Salem is a two-year program allows individuals: Exclusive access to decision-makers and experts in their community. Focused skill development. Create lasting bonds with current and future community leaders. This yearly leadership development cohort focuses on helping the next generation of leaders multiply their impact. To apply for the next cohort that starts in September, visit our website for more information and to apply online. Program Overview Leadership Salem has two primary goals: Preparing motivated individuals to serve in impactful leadership roles throughout our community. Developing key career-long relationships for professionals within vested businesses and nonprofit organizations across the Salem community. Participants receive a comprehensive overview of the Salem area – its realities, opportunities, and challenges. Leadership Salem is a strategic cohort designed to have participants meet key business, government, and nonprofit leaders and decision-makers, while receiving an introduction to community resources by way of tours, panels, and speakers. Each of the 10 one-day sessions focuses on a different theme: Team Building, Community History, Legal/Criminal Justice, Natural Resources, Business & Commerce, Local Government, Education, Community Resources, Leadership, and a unique-to-your-cohort Community Project. The first year concludes with a community service project. Participants meet once a month for 10 months (September-June) and receive a comprehensive overview of the Salem area’s realities, opportunities, and challenges. During year two, students become mentors as they help facilitate a session for the next cohort.  Questions? Reach out to Kelli Gassman, Program Director, at [email protected].

ProFund History ProFund began as part of the Josh McDowell Ministries. Mike Keleher, one of the founders of ProFund was Josh’s Director of Development in the 1980s. Josh McDowell Ministries continues today, but back then, when Josh began publishing books and videos nationwide he needed a source of funding to make it happen. It was studied that every type of fundraising “events” being used by every organization needed to raise dollars. Charities, schools, foundations, and all types of 501(c)(3)s were putting on great “events”. They were well organized and well planned, yet took a great deal of time and much effort by many people. Too much time and effort were yielding less than desirable results. It was found that after most of these “events” concluded, the organization accepted whatever dollar amounts were raised and appeared satisfied, at least on the surface. Conducting a good “event” is not the point. ProFund wanted to develop “CAMPAIGNS” that would raise more serious money with the fewest number of effective people in less time than had ever been realized. After all, no one would argue that today’s organizations need to be more effective and efficient at raising dollars. The criteria set forth a paradigm change in fundraising, from events to “campaigns”. ProFund thus, became a financial development consulting organization, applying techniques from the business world to manage our clients “campaigns” more strategically, with better utilization of their resources of Time, People and Money. They are NOT a “Fundraising Company” because we never touch an organization’s money. Since 1992 ProFund has conducted thousands of campaigns which have raised hundreds of millions dollars for our clients. ProFund campaigns have the capacity to raise $30,000 – $300,000 or more and net 70% to 75% of the proceeds! Friday Morning = Greeters!
