Calling all little adventurers! Strap on your explorer boots and join us for Nature Thursdays! This program runs on the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 AM. Your preschool-aged ecologists will join Gunston Educators for a themed storytime and a nature hike to traverse the woods and waterways on the Grounds of Gunston Hall. Exploratory activities will help preschoolers gain essential skills including preschool readiness, respect for our environment, gross- and fine-motor refinement, self-expression and more! Each monthly session will explore a different theme related to exploring the natural world around us. The program features a storytime, followed by a guided nature hike and a related learning activity. Check out the themes for the next few months below!June 4 – SummerThis program runs rain or shine, so please practice outdoor preparedness and dress for the weather! TicketsAdult: $10Senior: $8Children 6-18:  $5Children 5 and under Complimentary Advance registration is preferred.

Save the date for the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Virginia Declaration of Rights!On Friday, June 12th, join us at 11 a.m. to help welcome 50 of Americaâs newest citizens at a special naturalization ceremony on the lawn. On Saturday, June 13th, return for a festival celebrating the ratification of the Virginia Declaration of Rights.  The day will be full of activities for the whole family, including live music, spoken word performances, tours of the historic house, and museum theater performances. AdmissionOn Friday, June 12th, admission is complimentary from open until 1 p.m. for the naturalization ceremony.  After 1 p.m., general admission applies. Admission is complimentary all day on Saturday, June 13th. Rain or Shine This special program will occur rain or shine.  In the event of significant rainfall or thunderstorms, all activities will move to indoor locations.

Try your hand at George Against Humanity, figure out fact from fiction, write some historic headlines, and wash archaeological artifacts. There will also be music, community partners, take home resources, and of course PIZZA. Come for the games and stay for your slice of history. đ
